Westlands Butchers Limited which was established in 2024, and is formed up by a team with over 50 combined years in the food production and butchery industry, forming the best of both worlds in our shop. We are also made up of two families, at the head of our company, the youngest of two siblings, with the older brother and the dad being part of the unique team along with two cousins who are local to our team and we have formed a great bond within the shop. We also have our in house Aunt who looks after us all, along with always looking to expand our team to encourage new apprentices in to the trade as we have the in house skills to train in the traditional craft of butchery, alongside working with MEAT Ipswich for the qualification section of the trade
Our personal touches come through when coming to see us in shop, particularly at a weekend when we get used to our customers and we can have laugh, get to know you and make you feel like our shop is the local you want to shop at.
With butchery being at the heart of our shop, we pride ourselves on field to fork food production as all of our butchery team are trained in the traditional carcass butchery of meats which gives our shops the edge to be able to hang entire meats to our desired maturation to improve flavour, succulence and tender qualities to our products. Following on from this we can provide almost every cut of meat a customer could ask for, along with being able to provide cooking advice for those who are unsure on what to do with certain items or if you are out to impress, we can even provide recipes to get the most out your purchase.
Apart from a select few products on our shelves, the primary bulk of our products are manufactured in house to keep the quality there time after time so we know what is being passed over our counters to the customer. From making our own pastry and to cooking all our own meat fillings for pies, curing our own bacon, making our own sausage and burgers, and even producing our own ready meals in house to make a busy home life as easy as possible.
